Revanchism: A spirit moving a defeated people or nation to aggressively seek the restoration of lost territory, order, and authority.
An Appeal To Heaven
The world today is unrecognizable. Modern behavior and ethics were once considered unthinkably taboo. Most legislation caters towards anti-moral social values. And even the supposed “traditionalists” seem to have no intention of being traditional. Put simply, daily life does not look how it once did, and it once looked that way for good reason. Reason itself has been abandoned for partisan theater, and strong governance is quickly turned away from the public interest, instead serving the permissive dreams of a hedonistic few.
But when the world in front of you goes dark, look back to the light. This publication is an appeal to Heaven, and the authority we must overthrow is that of untruthfulness, immorality, and corruption — the invisible entity promoting its perverse and deviant desires over the spiritual cleanliness of society. The state is the weapon of the holy, and it must be wielded as such by the remaining few who are capable of understanding the necessity of public moral interest.
The followers of these ideas continue a spiritual lineage fought for by American heroes such as Anthony Comstock, Lyman Beecher, Horatio Storer, and many more whose names we may not remember today. To be a believer in moral purity today is to be a revanchist — a fighter for a standard that modern society has abandoned.
The Author and Publication
I am Rudolf Lyons. At the moment, I write all the articles for The Revanchist. One day, I hope to see enough support for these ideas that others write as well. In the meantime, I will fight this uphill battle from my college dorm. Typically, I write articles weekly for two main sections:
Ideology & Essays: Ideological theory, cultural commentary, and the further bounds of political possibility.
Policy: Analyses and commentary on U.S. and international domestic, economic, and foreign policy. As I am American, these are typically focused on American global primacy.
